In 2019, the country broke the export record with the mark of 41 million tons, and thus consolidated itself as the second largest exporter in the world, behind only the United States. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), the projection of production for 2029/30 is 123.9 million tons, thus being able to reach the position of the largest world exporter.
